Don't water Prickly Pear Cacti until they grow roots. It may take 30-60 days. If you water while they are in the soil before roots, they may rot. However, even though the pad may look dead, it may grow a new pad within a year. It does not matter which way they are planted. However, you typically get roots faster when they are laying flat on the soil. The down side of the pad will begin to grow roots.Shipping Notes

NO WARRANTY EVEN IF YOU PAY EXTRA FOR IT.
Beware
I purchased a casement window air conditioner AND the asurion 3 year warranty extension for the unit. The air conditioner was faulty from day one in that the temperature control did NOT control temperature and the compressor would not stay on unless the unit was set at the minimum 62 F setting. I called the manufacturer/distributor of the air conditioner and they informed me that there was NO WARRANTY on the unit because it was sold by a third party. The unit was only warranted if it was purchased directly from the distributor themselves.
I then checked with the extended warranty company *asurion" and was told they would not warrantly the product until after 12 months subsequent from purchase.
I highly suggest that anyone concerned with receiving a working product from Amazon should take care to investigate thoroughly before placing an order.
I contacted Amazon and they will replace or refund these items however I see no choice but to get a refund. Replacement with a non-warrantied product seems like something even a very foolish person would not consider.
Asurion's policy on not honoring it's extended warranty until 12 months after purchase is also hmmmmm unusual and makes their warranty products a questionable purchase.

Prompt service
